Cape Arundel Golf Club

What is the course like?:
The course opened in 1897. This Scottish-links course is very challenging because water comes into play on thirteen holes. The greens are small and every hole has sand bunkers. This is the home course of former President George Bush and G.H. Walker, after whom the Walker Cup is named. John Duncan Dunn and Walter Travis designed the back nine, which opened in 1919, and they redesigned the original nine holes in the process. Caddies are available upon request. Walter Travis designed the course. The course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 41-50 sandbunkers.

Fees are in the range $60 - $90.

Longview Golf Course

How is the course?:
The course was built in 1968. This course features wide fairways, water in play on four holes, and large greens. The signature hole is #11, a 489-yard, par 5, requiring the golfer to hit a lay-up shot in front of the creek which crosses the fairway and is hidden behind a hill, if you want to get an eagle on this hole, you'll have to be a long hitter. There are discounted rates available, including a cart, before 11 AM. Buck Blankenship designed the course. The course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 11-20 sandbunkers.

Course description:
The course opened in 1928. This short and deceiving course has narrow fairways and water hazards coming into play on several holes. The greens are medium-sized and flat, and the fairways are lined with mature trees. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. Sunflower Hills Golf Course

What is the course like?:
The course opened in 1977. This long and hilly course has very large greens. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 8th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. Parts of this course are heavily wooded, so be ready to use every club in your bag. Water hazards come into play throughout the design, such as on hole #16, a 229-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a lake and onto a green protected by a sand bunker in front. Resort at the Mountain, The

Course description:
The course was built in 1928. This resort has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The resort is nestled in an Alpine valley on the west slope of Mt. Hood, within the Mount Hood National Forest and next to the Huckleberry Wilderness Area. All three nines are tucked away in the Salmon River Valley and encounter streams, forests and breathtaking views of Mt. Hood. All of the courses have a distinct Scottish flavor, which extends into the clubhouse and the property's Scottish art collection, which includes tapestries and clan charts. The fairways are extremely narrow, and the greens are small. There are water hazards that come into play on six of the twenty-seven holes. Eugene Bowman designed the course. This course has 54 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 21-30 sandbunkers.
