The course was built in 1970. This facility has two regulation eighteen hole courses. The London Bridge Course is the championship course because it's the more difficult of the two. Water hazards come into play on six holes, and numerous sand bunkers have been incorporated throughout the entire course design. A Pro Am is held here every year. Jack Snyder redesigned four holes in 1984. The London Bridge East Course features narrow fairways lined by houses. The greens are medium-sized and fast. The signature hole is #10, on the London Bridge Course, a 385-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot from off an elevated tee to a fairway featuring a sand bunker in the center (located 260 yards out), then an accurate approach shot to a well-bunkered green with a pond protecting the front. Private and group lessons are provided at this facility. Walking is allowed on the West Course only. Overseeding is staggered between the two courses. When the course being seeded is closed, the other remains open. Each of the tees on the London Bridge Course are rated for men and ladies. Lawrence Hughes designed the course. This championship, par 70 course was originally constructed in 1933 as San Mateo Municipal. The course was renovated in 1999 an reopened for play in July, 2000 as Poplar Creek.
The course boasts rolling, tree-lined fairways, four sets of tees, and large, undulating greens. Many water hazards run throughout the course, including lakes, two waterfalls, and several streams.
The club also boasts a newly constructed 12,000 square foot clubhouse, that includes a full service Pro Shop, restaurant & bar, and banquet facilities capable of accommodating up to 200 people.
