Saint Albans Golf Club

What is the course like?:
The course was built in 1988. This course was designed to be relaxing and fair with no hidden hazards. However, there are five water hazards that can come into play on nine holes. The signature hole is #10, a 451-yard, par 4, requiring a shot to a large green fronted by a scenic creek and large cottonwood tree. Tony Price designed the course. This course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 11-20 sandbunkers.

Alexandria Golf Club

Course description:
The course opened in 1970. This course has narrow fairways and fast greens. The signature hole is #7, a 130-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a green with a sand bunker protecting the right side. All the greens are well bunkered, and Lake Darling and Lake L'Homme Dieu border the course. This course has restricted play for the public, and the head professional suggests that you call in advance before coming out to the club. Gerry Pirkl & Donald Brauer designed the course. The course includes waterhazards. And has 31-40 sandbunkers.

Oakwing Golf Club

Course description:
Oakwing Golf Course features a championship, 18-hole links style course designed by architect Jim Lipe. Part of the Audubon Golf Trail, Oakwing opened in 2002. This 7,043-yard course plays around England Air Force Base, through Louisiana bayous and lakes. The rolling, tree lined fairways play to large, undulating greens. There are five sets of tees on this course, and added to the classic risk-reward layout, Oakwing will prove challenging for all skill levels. What is the course like?:
The course opened in 1962. This course has many scenic views. There is a view from the clubhouse of the entire back nine. There are plenty of trees that can affect your shots. The ladies' par is actually 75. This course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 1-10 sandbunkers.

Belle Haven Country Club

How is the course?:
The course was built in 1954. This course is very picturesque and challenging with numerous mature trees and sections of the Potomac River bordering some holes. The course features tree-lined fairways. The signature hole is #9, a 228-yard, par 3, requiring a long, accurate tee shot to a green framed by out-of-bounds stakes. Water hazards come into play on a few holes. George Cobb redesigned this course in 1959, followed by Ed Ault in 1989. The 6,278-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 76.8 and a slope of 134. Tee times are only reserved for weekdays. This club will only reciprocate with other private clubs in the local area. Leonard Macomber designed the course. This course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 21-30 sandbunkers.

Legends at Locust Lane, The

How is the course?:
North of Columbus, Ohio, The Legends at Locust Lane opened for play in June 2001. Designed by Ray Graves, this 18-hole par 72 links-style track plays from 5,400 to 7,048 yards. The rolling fairways are generally open, and the slow, undulating greens vary in size and shape. The course's finishing hole (#18) is lauded as the second largest par 5 in Ohio, measuring a whopping 633 yards from tee to green. Twilight discounts are available. Geneva Golf Club

How is the course?:
The course opened in 1900. This old traditional course is short, tight, and somewhat demanding. The greens are small, and the fairways are narrow. The terrain is rolling, so expect some uneven lies in the fairways. Water hazards come into play on at least seven different occasions. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. James Foulis designed the course. The course includes waterhazards. And has 1-10 sandbunkers.
