What is the course like?:
The course opened in 1976. This club hosted a U.S. Open qualifier in 1992 and also the Michigan State Amateur Tournament. This course's fairways vary in width and thickness of tree-lines. Water hazards (twenty ponds and four streams) come into play on all holes except two. The signature hole is #1, a par 4, featuring five sand bunkers in the middle of the fairway. The terrain is mostly hilly, but some of the fairways are flat. Bill Newcomb designed the course. The course includes waterhazards. And has 51-60 sandbunkers.

How is the course?:
The course was built in 1922. This traditional layout features an interesting blend of rolling and hilly terrain, and there are panoramic views from several locations. The greens are slightly sloped on the front nine and undulating on the back nine. The fairways vary in width and undulation. There are consecutive par 3's on the front and back nines. The course opened in 1967. This University of Michigan-owned course is known for its greens that are very large and fast. The fairways require a broad range of play and will present quite a challenge for even the most experienced player. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 14th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 15th in 1997-98. The 5,255-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 75.4 and a slope of 135. The 5,909-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 66.1 and a slope of 118. Guests must be accompanied by a member in order to play the course. Pete Dye designed the course.
