Orchard Trace Golf Club

How is the course?:
The course opened in 1993. This is an excellent eighteen hole par 3 course. The course is always well taken care of and manicured. The design is challenging for golfers of all abilities, due to the many hazards placed throughout the course. There are numerous mature trees, sand bunkers and water hazards strategically placed in the design, making accuracy important to achieving a good score. The greens are large with many of them having sloping terrain. The course includes waterhazards. And has 1-10 sandbunkers.

Fairway Grass: Bermuda Grass

Fees are around $30 - $60.

Pinnacle Country Club

Course description:
The course was built in 1985. This course offers a pleasant atmosphere for playing because it is located alongside Cedar Lake. The fairways are very narrow because there are several mature oak trees which can alter your shots. In addition, water hazards come into play on several holes, so shot accuracy is at a premium. Don January designed the course. Pinnacle Country Club has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 41-50 sandbunkers.

Kerr Lake Country Club

What is the course like?:
The course was built in 1966. The original course is the back nine holes. The front nine was added later to make the existing eighteen hole layout. Because the two nines were built at different times, the greens on the front nine are smaller than the greens on the back. The course is predominantly flat, but there are some hills that can cause uneven lies. There are two ponds that come into play on four holes, and other water hazards affect holes #14 and #16. Greenside sand bunkers have been added to fourteen of the eighteen holes, many of which are difficult to get out of. The course includes waterhazards. And has 1-10 sandbunkers.

Anthem Country Club

What is the course like?:
The course opened in 1999. This eighteen hole course will be open to the public for a limited time as the club builds their membership base. The course sweeps over 7,250 yards from the championship tee. It is characterized by dramatic rock outcroppings, natural washes and undulating canyons.

Keith Foster & Hale Irwin designed the course. The course includes waterhazards. And has 61-70 sandbunkers.

Henderson Municipal Golf Course

How is the course?:
The course was built in 1900. This is one of the oldest executive courses in this part of the country. Tee times are reserved for the weekends only. Ladies tee off from the same set as the men. The course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards.

Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club

What is the course like?:
The course opened in 1985. The fairways on this course are narrow and lined with trees. The greens are medium-sized and some are elevated. The signature hole is #10, a 377-yard, par 4, requiring a shot over a pond. The terrain is very hilly, and the course has picturesque scenery. Only members are permitted to walk the course. Bob Cupp designed the course. Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 11-20 sandbunkers.

Reflection Bay Golf Club

What is the course like?:
The course was built in 1998. This course includes scrubby arroyos and more than a mile of lakefront play. The most intriguing feature of this course is the fact that it rests directly on the shores of Lake Las Vegas and has five holes that come into play on these shores. The facility was nominated by "GOLF Magazine" as one of the "Top 10 Best New Courses You Can Play" for 1999. Jack Nicklaus designed the course. This course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 61-70 sandbunkers.

Rio Secco Golf Club

Course description:
The course was built in 1997. This course, which was originally called Seven Hills, is open to guests staying at the Rio Hotel, as well as guests of other hotels in Las Vegas. The course is located at the foot of the Black Mountains and was cut through the desert and washes. The fairways are wide open with several sand bunkers in the landing area. The undulating greens are large and also protected by bunkers. Butch Harmon, the swing coach for Tiger Woods, open the Butch Harmon School of Golf here in the fall of 1997. Black Mountain Golf & Country Club

Course description:
The course was built in 1959. This course's greens are sloped and in good condition, and its fairways are tree lined. The Las Vegas qualifier and the USGA Regulation Tournament is held here every year. There are two lakes that come into play on three holes. A redesign of the golf course was completed by Bob E. and Robert L. Baldock in 1990. The senior rate is only good on Tuesday and Thursday. Bob E. Baldock designed the course. The course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 51-60 sandbunkers.

SouthShore Golf Club

Course description:
The course was built in 1996. This course features numerous changes in elevation, which affords spectacular views of the 320-acre Lake Las Vegas. The fairways are generous, and the greens are medium-sized and fast. Water hazards in the form of streams, lakes, and ponds come into play on five holes. "Golf Digest" selected this course 6th in the category of "Best New Private Courses" for 1996, and they also rated it as the 3rd "Best in State" course for 1997-98. "GOLFWEEK" selected it 33rd in its category of "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1998 and 48th for 1999. This course is affiliated with the Lake Las Vegas development project. You must be a land owner or a guest of a land owner in order to play the course. Jack Nicklaus designed the course. The course has 18 holes. The course includes waterhazards. And has 91-100 sandbunkers.
