The course opened in 1961. This course's large greens are fast, and its wide fairways are in great shape. Water hazards (ponds and streams) come into play several times. The signature hole is #8, a 203-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to an elevated green surrounded by three sand bunkers. The club hosted the Senior PGA Tour's Bank of Boston Senior Classic in 1994 and 1995. Complimentary pull carts are only available for ladies. Geoffrey Cornish designed the course. Sassamon Trace is a 9-hole track that opened for play September 2001. Located a short drive west of Boston on the former Natick landfill, this executive course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish/Brian Silva/Mark Mungeam and features a mix of traditional and links-styled holes. As such, some of the gently rolling fairways are open and some are tree-lined. The large greens are nicely undulated and fast. Sassamon Trace plays from 2,400 to 1,750-yards and there are four sets of tees to challenge a variety of skill levels.
